The Vail Chamber & Business Association wants your ideas

Lourdes FerzaccaVail, CO, Colorado

The Vail Chamber & Business Association is assessing how it can best serve Vails business community. Before we make any changes to our services, the chambers board of directors is inviting members and town of Vail business-license holders to share their opinions on what functions your local chamber should perform. What would you like the chamber to do for you? Which programs do you feel are important to the community? Is there something we are missing? Most people who research vacation options or relocation start by contacting the local chamber of commerce, which means that our office is the first contact many potential visitors have with Vail. This is a very important potential business relationship. The Vail Chamber manages the Turn it Up! merchants guest-services training program and the Premier Impressions Excellence in Customer Service employee-recognition program. We also collaborate on the production and design of the Vail Guide, which contains free advertising for all chamber members and which we send out to potential guests. We promote and produce events that attract tourism, attend and participate in Town Council meetings in support of the business community and fuel economic vitality and sustainability in Vail. Should we continue, or is there something that needs to be changed? The Vail Chamber is your source for business information and activities. Do you need access to certain types of business information that you cant find? What type of information is lacking? What kind of presence should the Vail Chamber have in other business communities and conventions around the United States? We are developing an excellent relocation packet that can be sent to interested parties. Would you like your business to be represented inside this bundle of information? We are looking for feedback. What are our strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats? To best serve the community, should we work more closely with other entities? Be a part of the new Vail Chamber & Business Association. Call us at 970-477-0075 or e-mail us at info@vailchamber.org to let us know how we can make the chamber a better place for you and for our guests.Lourdes Ferzacca is president of the Vail Chamber & Business Association board of directors.
