The wow factor in service at Eagle County Assessor’s Office
Vail, CO, Colorado
Kudos to the Eagle Country Assessor’s Office staff for being on the top of their game during the recent real estate valuation appeals period.
I had the unexpected pleasure of showing up on the last day that they would be accepting appeals anticipating to find a “take a number” atmosphere to be surprised by being immediately acknowledged by Janet, who completed my preliminary paperwork within one minute.
I took a seat and was prepared to spend at least a half-hour waiting to be interviewed.
While I was waiting, some fresh doughnuts were placed in the lobby, and I had the opportunity to observe how two additional property owners were also graciously and effectively received by Alice and Rita.
A positive, accommodating attitude just seemed to resonate amongst the entire staff.
Within minutes I was called in by Mike Johnson, who professionally reviewed my case and listened to my appeal.
Again, he exceeded my expectations in his interactive people skills.
The entire process from the time I walked in the office until leaving the office was 12 minutes.
While we all are most thankful for the outstandingly beautiful physical environment in which we live, I feel we need to also be grateful for having such an exemplary team at the Assessor’s Office and the entire Eagle County offices.
Congratulations to Mark Chapin and his entire team. It’s all about relationships isn’t it?
While it will be postmaster Elizabeth Turner’s first busy season in Avon, it’s far from her first holiday-shipping crunch.
