They are all dead

Bob Aubrey

It’s almost my favorite time of year again, Halloween. So we celebrated the spookiest month of the year by killing off an entire house party in Eagle-Vail. Yep, we got artistic and shot our own horror movie music video in Eagle-Vail last weekend. After 15 noise complaints, two kicked kegs and a ton of fake blood, we finished shooting “Broken Heart Beating Drum”, which is a good thing ’cause now I’ve got to spend way too much time editing the damn thing.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this one of the best times I’ve ever had with a video camera. Sex, drugs, rock’n roll and murder … does it get any better? I’d especially like to thank Sam, Steve, Chris, Lindsay and Nevada for being the best run-and-gun film crew in the Valley. Luke for his sweet prop work, Dogmeat for the location and everyone else who died for the cause.

So where can you see “Broken Heart Beating Drum?” Our plan is to have it finished by Thursday and then enter it into’s underground video contest. You’ll be able to see it there, and when you do, please vote for us.

We’ll also be premiering it this Friday night at the Sandbar and Loaded Joes simultaneously. That’s right, it’s Friday the 13th and we’ll be premiering the video and playing a show with Defying Gravity and a band from Gypsum named Strickened. It’s a benefit for to raise money for local Chris Dunsirn’s medical bills. He recently had a really bad accident and could possibly lose the use of his arm. Everyone should come out for this show in an effort to help him out. Burton, Rossingnol and Bonfire will be there raffling off gear and boards to help raise money as well.

We won’t be at Loaded Joes, but if you are, then you’ll get to check out the video, as well. Nevada from Vailpm will be premiering it at their Friday the 13th party, too.

As for further upcoming shows we’re taking a mini-tour through Crested Butte, Gunnison and Denver from the 20th to the 22nd. Yep, it’s a three-show tour and we’d really like people to come out to the Denver show at Cervantes’ ’cause it’s another battle of the bands … but this time it’s for $10,000 and we want to win. You know, finally record a full-length album, that would be nice. Anyone who needs tickets can email me at We’ll that’s about all that’s going on right now with initfortim, I’ve got to get back to editing this video.
