Thievery Corporation to headline Spring Back to Vail

VAIL – Thievery Corporation will headline Spring Back to Vail, Vail Resort’s annual spring bash to celebrate the close of the 2011-’12 ski and snowboard season with an April 13 show. Reggae band IRATION will play a headlining concert on Sunday to wrap up the event. Grace Potter and The Nocturnals and JJ Grey & Mofro will also play free shows at Spring Back to Vail on April 12 and April 14 respectively. Admission to all concerts and events that are part of Spring Back to Vail is free and open to the public.The parties, activities and free concerts featured during Spring Back to Vail are part of the resort’s event philosophy, which aims to provide first-rate entertainment and give back to the guests who have made Vail a leading mountain resort.”Vail is thrilled to offer another fantastic lineup of entertainment for Spring Back to Vail and thank our guests for another great season,” said Adam Sutner, director of sales and marketing for Vail Mountain. “The addition of Thievery Corporation and IRATION makes this one of the strongest concert lineups for Spring Back to Vail to date.”Eric Hilton and Rob Garza, the DJ duo behind Thievery Corporation, cite many different influences for the creative and interesting electronic music they make. Since the formation of the band in 1995, Thievery Corporation has released six studio albums and been nominated for a Grammy. The duo enlists the help of numerous supporting artists, from vocalists to guitarists and more, to add a full sound to the music they create. They plan to have a band of 20 supporting artists for their show at Spring Back to Vail.
