Think fall’s a slow season? No way==========Vail Chamber bug – Rich tenBraak mug=============As the Aspens change their leaves to yellow and the cooler fall weather slowly makes its way in, it means the summer season of Vail is coming to an end. Although things may seem like they are winding down in town, the reality is most businesses are gearing up for the next big season, winter! The turnover from the summer season is always exciting for locals, as the itch for snow starts to grow and grow exponentially by the day. During the next few months, many businesses will be changing their hours for the fall season. The Vail Chamber & Business Association has compiled a list of business hours. The list is available to the public and can be obtained from the chamber. You may stop by, call, or e-mail us for the list.This is an election year for the Vail Town Council, with multiple seats up for election. If you are interested in running for council, Oct. 2 is the deadline to get your paperwork to the town. The Vail Chamber will be holding candidates’ forum Oct. 14 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Donovan Pavilion. Do you have a question that you would like to ask any of the potential candidates? Feel free to let us know. In other news, I would like to introduce some new members we have in our organization.Feldmann, Nagel and Associates, is a law firm based in Denver with offices in Steamboat Spring and Avon. Specializing in assisting with small business, they also support domestic issues. We also would like to welcome Billabong in Vail Village to the Vail Chamber, as well as new resident Juan Carlos Aziz.The Vail Chamber & Business Association is currently in a membership drive for our winter cycle. The leading business advocacy group for businesses in Vail, the Vail Chamber is a communications outlet for businesses that need to have a voice.
