Where: Start/finish is The Minturn Saloon, 146 Main St., Minturn.

Cost: Advance registration for the 3-mile Minturn Monster Dash is $30 for adults or $20 for youth, Tombstone 10-Mile is $40 for adults or $25 for youth, and Candy Corn Kids’ Mile is $15 for all participants. Prices will increase on race day.

More information: All fitness levels are welcome. An adult must accompany young children. Dogs are welcome on the 1- and 3-mile courses but must be leashed. Search “Minturn Monster Dash” at www.active.com to register and to learn more.

MINTURN — The third annual Minturn Monster Dash brings costumed characters to town on Sunday for the 3-mile run, the Candy Corn Kids Mile and the fast and flat Tombstone 10 Mile race.

All races start and finish at The Minturn Saloon, next to the bridge on the north end of town. The course is on paved and dirt roads. The 10-miler has a dose of smooth, rolling trail on single- and double-track.

Packet pick-up and race-day registration takes place at The Saloon starting at 9 a.m. Sunday. The Minturn Monster Dash (3 miles) and Tombstone 10 Mile start at 10 a.m., and the Candy Corn Kids Mile starts at 10:05 a.m. There will be prizes for best costumes in several categories, including youngest, scariest, fastest, etc.

Each runner will receive a tech T-shirt and Halloween finisher medal. Additional awards will be given for top finishes. Fruit, apple cider and cupcakes will be served at the finish, and lunch specials for racers will be available at restaurants, cafes and bakeries in town.

Parking is available at the town of Minturn lot across from The Turntable Restaurant.
