VAIL — The third annual Top Shelf Harvest event will kick off Vail Beaver Creek Restaurant Week today in Lionshead Village. The event will pair Colorado distilleries and craft brewers with gourmet food samples.
“Colorado is such a mecca for handcrafted spirits and beers, so we are thrilled to celebrate our local favorites at Top Shelf Harvest,” said Laurie Asmussen, event producer of Eagle Valley Events, one of the presenters of the event. “We want our guests to enjoy the inventive libations and delicious foods surrounded by autumn colors, live music and entertainment in the heart of Vail for the quintessential fall weekend in the Rockies.”
Representatives from participating distilleries and breweries will be on hand to share their passion for their crafts, answer questions about their products and pour tastings and signature cocktails, while local chefs will present gourmet foods throughout the day. Live music from Sandy Colfax, who plays soulful rock-funk sounds paired with Motown and R&B, will set the tone for the “happy hour” party vibe.
Top Shelf Harvest will also feature a mixology contest, showcasing old school and modern cocktails, with chance for attendees to vote for their favorite cocktails and cuisine in the People’s Choice awards, and there will be demonstrations by top mixologists and chefs.
Tickets are $45 each, plus a $3.47 service fee. Each ticket includes 15 food-tasting tokens; unlimited beer, wine and spirit tastings; and a commemorative tasting glass.
