EDWARDS — ThriveMD and Sigma Human Performance have announced a partnership that the businesses claim will bring a “revolutionary new system of improving health and performance to the Vail Valley.”

“Whether you are a high performance athlete or simply a high performance person, the mission of Sigma Human Performance is to provide an opportunity for each client to systematically address their fitness and nutritional goals in the most precise manner possible,” said Dr. Scott Brandt, medical director at ThriveMD, a Vail medical practice that offers regenerative and restorative medicine. “The Sigma program is an excellent complement to ThriveMD’s bioidentical hormone treatment plan for patients.”

Bioidentical hormone treatment gives patients supplemental doses of hormones that have a chemical structure identical to the hormones that the human body naturally produces. Most hormones are delivered orally in a pill format. Some of the hormones are topical or injectable.

Depleted hormone levels can prevent a person from achieving their peak physical performance. Sigma reports that even for clients who have been training for an extended period of time, optimizing hormones will usually allow a 20-40 percent improvement in metabolic output.

“This relationship will be a synergistic opportunity for both ThriveMD and Sigma to offer their dynamic services to a wider range of people who have interest in improving their health, vitality and daily performance,” said Benjamin Stone, founder of Sigma.

Stone said he is often confronted by clients who seem concerned that their goals are limited by their age, citing that their bodies seem to lack the youthful resiliency they once had. ThriveMD claims to address this issue by optimizing hormonal levels through the use of bioidentical hormones that are identical in structure to the hormones that are naturally produced by the human body.”

Stone will be seeing clients in Edwards beginning the first week of March. For more information or to schedule a consultation, call 970-766-8245 or 501-358-2112.
