Time for the Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed

EAGLE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS — The 17th Annual Rocky Mountain Oyster Feed will hit the Eagle County Fairgrounds Saturday. Events include a National Barrel Horse Association race at 10 a.m. followed by a Jackpot Gymkhana fundraiser for the Lucky Horseshoe 4-H Club.Registration for the gymkhana begins at 9 a.m. Exhibition runs will take place between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and cost $3 per run – or two runs for $5.The race begins at 1 p.m. and costs $20 for youth and senior divisions and $35 for the open division. Carryovers can enter the $1,000 Added Money Jackpot Gymkhana, which will begin after the NBHA race around 3 p.m. for $20 a run.Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. A silent auction will run from 6-8 p.m., at which time a live auction will be held and a barn dance with live music will begin. Kids 5 and younger get in free, and tickets are $6 for kids 6 to 12, $14 for 13 – 61 and $10 for seniors 62 and older. Tickets will be available at the gate. The Feed is sponsored by Eagle County Fair and Rodeo, Lucky Horseshoe 4-H Club and Equest Productions. Proceeds will fund 4-H programs and scholarships.
