BEAVER CREEK Eagle Dance Academy presents Sleeping Beauty, two nights of fairy tales, romance, laughter and entertainment, at the Vilar Center for the Arts today and Saturday.

It is very fast moving, Cheryl McQuaid, director at Eagle Dance Academy, said. There is a wide narration, so its like being told a story while the students dance. Sleeping Beauty is a classic story, and the Eagle Dance Academy promises some exciting additions. We try to have a sense of humor, McQuaid said. We even have a few hidden jokes here and there. While the annual Eagle Dance Academy performance has become a community event, the best part is the stars seen both on stage and in the performers eyes. McQuaid explained that every student gets a part usually determined by their experience. And, after months of practice, it is sure to be a big success, she said.We owe a big thanks to the Buckman Blount Community Use Fund, McQuaid said. The organization made it possible for the Eagle Dance Academy to perform Sleeping Beauty at the Vilar Center today and Saturday.
