Missing JohnGood morning. Thank you for the Tipsline. First we have the gazebo problem, and then our memorial is stolen for the seniors of the town of Eagle, and now we do not understand and we feel very, very bad that they dismissed John Lowery, who was a wonderful senior coordinator. He did a lot of extra things for the seniors and took time out for them. A lot of people don’t understand all the jobs he did because he was a very quiet man and just did them. So we all feel bad, and there’s over 75 of us. We just don’t know why. Why? Why? Please help us. We understand there were three or four people that did this, and we had no say or were not approached on the question. But please, we all love John Lowery, and he did a wonderful, wonderful job for us, and we sure did appreciate everything. I’m sorry to see you leave, John, but we wish you all the best, and you will get better treatment, I’m quite sure, than in Eagle County.Trucks are OKI was reading the Tipsline and I saw another thing in Tipsline that says, “Those trucks,” and I just want to say that anyone that has any complaint about trucks being on the interstate is obviously seriously uneducated and just stupid to the fact that everything that you own, everything that you have, was brought here on a truck. It’s nice to say you don’t want to see trucks on the road, but if you didn’t have trucks bringing your food and bringing all your products here, even to Vail, and even to all your valued guests from Denver and all these other places, the trucks drive this country. Without trucks bringing the products to your little customers, do you really believe that all the stores are stocked by people driving up here in nice little Mercedes Benzes? It sounds like such a little Vail stupid little thing to say to say you don’t want trucks on the highway.Close the borderThis is in response to Matt Zalaznick’s “That immigrant tide” article. There’s just not enough jobs to go around. I don’t want to be another xenophobe, I’m not afraid of anybody, I’m more qualified than most people, but I can’t get a job because the wages are so horrible here they only hire imbeciles. So we really do need to shut down the borders and allowing people in. The really bigger issue and problem here is outsourcing. So let’s maintain our patriotism and I’m not down on anybody, I wish people were more educated. Have a good day.Vail, Colorado
