Snow removal bluesWe’re wondering if it was necessary to start snow removal at 4:30 a.m. this Thursday in front of the Scorpio Building on South Frontage Road with heavy equipment, loading trucks and loud beeping when backing. We highly respect the snow removal crew. They perform an excellent job during heavy snowfall at all times of hours. Since we have not had a snowflake in several days and no snow in the forecast, one would think that with a little planning old snow could be removed from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. in front of 60 bedrooms rather than at 4:30 a.m. Helga and Henry Beck, condo owners at Scorpio.Visible signsTwo thumbs up for the Town of Avon for the very visible pedestrian crossing signs in the Avon roundabouts. They should be everywhere. I’m a landscape designer and I think that they’re important and do not look bad. What about me?In regards to the crossing guard held on criminal charges, it comes to mind that when a local police officer stops somebody that is an illegal immigrant and they admit that they are illegal and are simply let go, are these individuals properly licensed to drive a vehicle and do they have proper vehicle insurance? I would hope that the same courtesy would be extended to me if I decided not to renew my license or my vehicle insurance. Vail, Colorado
