Different rules

This is Kent Sortland. Why should those writers in Wisdom From the Web be allowed to be anonymous while no one else in the paper can be anonymous? They should also have their names with their opinions.

Biased coverage?

This is Tom Harned. I think the Vail Daily has shown a disappointing lack of balance in their coverage of the issue of home rule. You’re each entitled to your opinion, but should not use your position of power to push your own agenda. Also, those proponents who attempt to besmirch the opponents of home rule tell me there must be a great fear that the opposition is going in the right direction. The devil is always in the details, and many of home rule’s details are still problematic. I remain opposed to the matter for obvious reasons too lengthy to list.

What’s third world

Scotty Magoun. This is for the guy or girl who thought our roads are “third world” at best. Obviously they never spent anytime in a third-world country. I worked two years in Belize and what they called the southern highway was like the road to Piney. The northern highway was paved, but had more potholes than are in front of Safeway right now. So stop whining about the roads in Colorado and calling them third world, because obviously you don’t know what you’re talking about.
