Give truckers a break
I’m really sick of people slamming the truckers. This is John Beckett, and the article about dangerous trucks, you need to end the story saying that trucks are what bring everything here to the valley, and those men and women who drive those trucks go through a lot of stuff up here from Denver or wherever in the United States they come from. If the brake lines fail, the brakes lock. Air pressure is what keeps the brakes open on a semi, just so you know that. You need to give them some more credit.
Different shops, different cops
Joey Brooks. I’ve been reading a lot of articles on topics of the police departments of different jurisdictions in the state of Colorado, such topics as the smoking ban between Avon and Vail. When you call an Avon police officer to your door, it’s normally a civil issue. When a police officer decides to go on a sting operation in the town of Avon, they’re usually out to bust you.
Town of Vail is pretty lenient, they see people are making an effort to smoke outside away from the people, and that’s all the law pertained to. They’re pretty lenient on the speeders as well. They have a dummy, who I haven’t seen in a while, writing tickets.
I just wanted to inform Vail Daily readers that our President Bush has now signed a directive that gives him dictatorial power and he also signed something that authorizes new covert action against Iran, which gives him power for non-lethal presidential finding, puts into motion a CIA plan that reportedly includes a coordinated campaign of propaganda disinformation and manipulation of Iran’s currency and international transactions just to make them more angry so that we can get into war with them more quickly. My name is Tavius Sims.
