I had the right of way

Cindy Ostrom. To the black Jeep and/or dark gray Jeep in the main Avon roundabout at approximately 1:10 p.m. on Aug. 16: I had the right of way as a pedestrian in the crosswalk. Had you not been speeding, you would have found that I would have been well out of the crosswalk before you reached it. So next time you want to shake a fist at me, please remember that you have the right to yield to me, the pedestrian, the endangered species in the Avon roundabout …

To the Avon Police Dept., I am going to start wearing an orange vest like the crossing guards do and carrying a stop sign to protect my life in these roundabouts. I would appreciate more patrol. I have almost been killed at least three different times. Today I wasn’t almost killed, but I sure got a fist shook at me because I had the right of way.
