“This double CD is the complete concert held at the Royal Albert Hall on November 29, 2002. Guests such as Eric Clapton, Joe Brown, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty and the revered Ravi Shankar and his very talanted daughter Anoushka, put on a stellar performance. Anoushka Shankar and her orchestra are absolutely amazing, mixing sitar, Indian orchestra and American orchestra, she shows a combining of two cultures and is guaranteed to impress.”

Denise Sturdivant’s Record of the Week: Michael Franti and Spearhead “Everyone Deserves Music”

“It’s been a pick of mine for quite some time. It’s one of those albums you can listen to all the way through. I love all the different beats and his reggae undertone. Franti sings about being happy and feeling free. His songs are very feel-good songs. I like tracks one, three and nine the best. And, as the title of the album states, everyone does deserve music, and this album is that and then some.”

Tom Robbins’s Record of the Week: Various Artists “Remembering Patsy Cline”

“It has Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Michelle Branch, K.D. Lang and a bunch of other artists. I like it because the country artists on the album do relatively accurate countrty covers, but then people like Norah Jones and Diana Krall do more contemporary, jazzy versions. For Patsy Cline fans, some versions are different than the originals, but most are still able to convey the original emotions.”
