Tour Eagle River Preserve

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” The Eagle River Preserve, 72-acres of open space in central Edwards, is open for guided tours.

The newly opened park has access to the river, paths and park benches through newly planted trees and shrubs. The tours are held on Mondays at 5:30 and last for an hour.

County Planner Cliff Simonton said the preserve is still fragile and growing, and could use more rain.

“It probably still needs a good winter of snow,” he said.

Commissioners are planning an official grand opening of the park at next week’s tour.
