Tourney nets $220,000 for charities
WOLCOTT, Colorado – The Eagle Springs Golf Club, the premier private golf club in the Vail Valley, hosted the inaugural Children’s Charity Classic golf tournament, achieving its goal of netting $220,000 for two of Vail nonprofit groups focusing on the needs of the Valley’s children – The Youth Foundation and Eagle Care Children’s Program.
The Aug. 10 event was the first major fundraising golf event at Eagle Springs and was conceived by Eagle Springs’ members who recognized a community-wide need, given the current economy and many of their members’ volunteer efforts on behalf of both organizations.
