Town of Avon celebrates 40 years with community picnic on Thursday, Sept. 13
AVON — The town of Avon will host a 40th Anniversary Community Picnic from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Harry A. Nottingham Park, with free food and drink provided by the town on a first-come, first-served basis.
The picnic provides community members with an opportunity to offer comments and suggestions about various topics and to meet members of the Avon Town Council and town staff. During the event, picnickers will be encouraged to learn more about various town projects and initiatives. Frisco Funk Collective will provide live music.
In addition to the community picnic, residents are encouraged to share their ideas, concerns and suggestions at any time by emailing the Town Council at email@example.com. The town’s website at http://www.avon.org includes information on town topics and projects, as well as email links and phone numbers for all departments, plus links to Facebook and Twitter.
