Town of Avon winter bus schedule now in effect, including skier and restaurant shuttles
AVON — Town of Avon buses transitioned to the full winter schedule on Friday, Dec. 15. The new schedule, which will run through March 31, provides 15-minute service on the Skier Express Shuttle during peak times and 30-minute service during nonpeak times. The Skier Express Shuttle operates from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and serves all Avon lodges.
Additionally, the Restaurant Shuttle provides daily evening service from 6 to 10 p.m. through April 15. The Restaurant Shuttle provides an evening connection between Avon and Beaver Creek for those wishing to dine at any of the restaurants within the town of Avon and Beaver Creek Resort. This shuttle services Avon lodges, along with the Covered Bridge bus stop in Beaver Creek Village.
As a pedestrian-friendly and bike-accessible community, the town of Avon encourages locals and visitors to take advantage of free public parking spaces in the town core, with access to a network of multi-use paths, sidewalks, free buses and the free Riverfront Express Gondola, with access to Beaver Creek Resort.
Avon’s free public parking provides convenient access to Avon’s free in-town bus service, including the Skier Express Shuttle, with direct access to Beaver Creek Village. All public parking, including more than 100 spaces on Lake Street and in the Town Hall parking lot, is within a short walk to a bus stop and the Riverfront Express Gondola, which takes skiers and riders directly to Beaver Creek Landing.
Bus schedules are available online at http://www.avon.org/bus, at Avon Town Hall and on the buses.
