VAIL – The Vail Town Council still hasn’t decided whether or not to build a conference center on a site between the Lionshead parking structure and Dobson Ice Arena, but the propery will likely have its water service in place before a move that will save about $130,000, the town agreed to buy water and sewer service from the Eagle River Water and Sanitation District this year. Buying now will cost about $297,000. With rate increases in the pipeline, buying the same amount of service next year would cost about $426,000.The council approved the purchase with the condition that the water district gaurantee something else could use the water if the conference center isn’t built at the site.Vail, Colorado
