Parents of gifted and talented children can sign up for a parent-discussion group to better understand their gifted children and learn how to work with them effectively. The group, which will last six weeks, will be led by early-childhood specialist Jane West and clinical psychologist Kathie Goulet.
Topics will include: understanding how gifted children are motivated, how they manage their stress, how they relate to their families and how they get along with peers.
The group will cost $180 for six sessions. Light refreshments will be served. The group will meet Thursday nights starting in early April. The Gifted Education team of Eagle County and the Eagle County School District are sponsoring the sessions.
