Titans outlast Udall in Senate race

Howdy and welcome to Town Talk, the column that stayed in the Senate race longer than Mark Udall, who we really like.

Randy Wyrick and The Dedicated Campaign Staff

Titans for Senate

Today’s Campaign Slogan: “Wyrick: We Could Do Worse!”

The praise and fan mail are pouring in, supporting our Senate campaign. As our Faithful Readers read yesterday, we, the Titans of Town Talk launched our campaign for the U.S. Senate.

The High Sheriff’s at the Vaily Daily gave us the green light for a Senate run, as long as we hit our deadlines and aren’t late for our geezer league basketball games. With a ringing endorsement like that, how could we refuse?

We love all the notes people have sent us, but most are a little shy on the Stuff of Life – campaign contributions. Not that we’re in this for the money or to be self serving. We are True Public Servants, who want to truly serve the public, which, of course, includes us. Because we’re now politicians, we’ll tell you anything you want to hear, which leads us to our Political Policy Statement: “Promise Everything.”

Drop us an e-mail at towntalk@vaildaily.com, and let us know what we can say that will make you feel better.

Every couple days we’ll bring you our Positions On the Important Issues.

n Today’s position: Electric Guitars. They should always be loud and they should always be played by Eric Clapton or Eddie Van Halen, or people who sound like that. As adept as we may be at some stuff, we wish we did anything in life as well as these guys play the guitar.

Spring training

Spring Training for baseball and softball, March 15, 17; March 22, 24; March 29, 31, 5:30-7 p.m. at Eagle Valley Middle School. You’ll learn the fundamentals of fielding, hitting, throwing and catching, with lots of instruction on those skills from a staff of five brilliant coaches. There’s no better way to get you ready for the upcoming season. There’s a $1 drop-in fee.
