I would like to express great gratitude to the Rotary club in the Eagle Valley. Many local high school students, as well as myself, recently had the honor to attend the RYLA Leadership Conference in La Junta.
Many students from Colorado attended this conference where we were informed about many leadership qualities and skills. Each of us were evaluated on a personal level and taught by tremendous leaders who traveled great distances to educate us. These are the students that will strive to become phenomenal leaders in the present as well as the future. Not only were we educated by the best, we were also educated by the other students, all of whom could relate to one another. I am very grateful to have had this opportunity and realize that it was very beneficial to myself, as well as others, and wasn’t just something to “put on a resume.” Therefore, I would like to express my thanks to the Rotary Club, the community and families.
Every one of us can accomplish great things and become great leaders! Thank you!

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.
