Families of Edwards Elementary School donated 1,654 lbs of food in this years food drive. This was the 3rd year for the food drive at EES which is coordinated by Alice Pankey and was by far the largest collection ever. This event was a collective effort with Moses Gonzales of the Vail Police Department and other non-profit groups. Food was picked up on Thursday, October 20 by the Resource Center to be delivered to Freedom Ranch. Thank you to all who participated! Pictured are Moses Gonzales, EES Principal Heidi Hanssen, EES Vice-principal Mel Preusser and students. Edwards Elementary Dual Language Focus School is open to the public to promote learning in both English and Spanish.
