…Country Holiday FairSeems a little early to be talking about the holidays, but we are looking for vendors and buyers! It’s the 20th annual Country Holiday Fair held on Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Gypsum Creek Middle School.Cost to participate as a vendor will be $40. Any interested persons should call Mary Kate Ewing at 524-1379. Two other craft fairs will be going on in the area. We will also offer a concession stand serving breakfast and lunch items.Ski season kickoff

Ski and Snowboard Club Vail is kicking off the 2005-06 season with a Gala Weekend on Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12.Dust off your boots and kick off the season at the Snow Stampede! Come out for an evening of fun at the Vilar Center in Beaver Creek, which includes a beer and wine tasting, silent auction and Western entertainment beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are just $45 when pre-purchased and $55 at the door.Join us in making a toast to the snow gods and talking of the many powder runs to come, with an evening of mountain elegance at this year’s Glitter, Gates and Rails Auction and Dinner. Held at the Larkspur Restaurant at the base of Golden Peak, this year’s event includes fine cuisine and a silent and live auction featuring some fantastic items! Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails. As always, all proceeds from both events benefit the programs of Ski and Snowboard Club Vail, the Vail Valley’s oldest nonprofit organization. SSCV offers programs in alpine, nordic and freestyle skiing as well as snowboarding to nearly 400 Vail Valley and Front Range athletes each year. Throughout its more than 40-year history, more than fifty SSCV members have continued their dreams with the U.S. Ski Team. More importantly, thousands more have applied their educational and competitive experiences at SSCV to enrich their personal lives, education and careers.
