A sizeable collection of climbing equipment belonging to me was taken from a climb adjacent to the Rigid Designator ice climb in the cirque above West Vail. Some 15 quickdraws (carabiner-sling-carabiner combinations) were liberated from this climb, possibly as recently as Monday, as boot tracks were seen leading to the base of this climb on Tuesday, when I hiked up to retrieve my equipment. None of the other equipment that commonly resides on the routes at this climbing area had been removed. My equipment, in particular, appears to have been targeted for removal. I am seeking the return of my equipment; anyone with information regarding this theft may contact me, Rob Cordery-Cotter, at afrozenworld@yahoo.com.
