Avon Aspens residents, the Avon Police Department would like to invite the citizens of The Aspens trailer park to a community meeting Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the community center located inside the trailer park at 901 W. Beaver Creek Blvd., Avon. This will be an informal meeting that will allow citizens to voice their concerns in their own neighborhood and provide an opportunity to meet their police department. Chief Brian Kozak will be on hand with his command staff and a few police officers to answer questions and listen to the community’s desires. Ice cream will be served.

Agenda topics will include volunteers in police service (looking for Spanish translators), community groups and plan for National Night Out (2007), overview of crimes in the area, group discussion on perceptions of the police and suggestions to address major concerns of the community, such as vacation watch and directed patrol requests.

6-year-old Ethan lost his skateboard at the skate park in Vail. If you have found the board, please contact Andrea at 393-3365.
