Montana Gowell, left, and Hailey Hoffman wold like to thank all the people that helped make their "fun razer" a success last Saturday at Bighorn Park. They raised $20.35 for the Eagle County Animal Shelter selling dog treats, moon rocks and animal tattoos.

Eric Scharmer lived in Vail from 1984 ” 95 and poured lots of drinks at Vendetta’s and Los Amigos. He also competed in the Pro Mogul Tour for nine years.

Scharmer has lived in Boston for the past several years, and this weekend is riding in the Pan Mass Challenge, a two-day, 192-mile charity bike ride from Sturbridge to Provincetown, he is riding in memory of Vail’s Tom Provo, who lost his battle with cancer the day after Christmas 2006.
