Daily Staff Reports
Our lovely, Yorkshire terrier puppy, Olivia, died Aug. 29 due to injuries sustained by a vicious neighbor dog. I have been dealing with the authorities for animal control, it seems that Olivia just happened into the backyard connected to mine and is therefore a trespasser even though I now know that over 6 dogs in my Singletree neighborhood have been attacked by this dog who is constantly chained up outside in severe heat and cold. We are devastated by this loss. She died a heinous, unnecessary death. No neighborhood in America should have dogs like the one that killed Olivia, by anyone’s estimation, the treatment she received by her owners made her vicious. And should you ask why Olivia was left in a position to be attacked ? The answer is, I turned my head for one minute and it was done. God Bless our little Christmas surprise and I wish all you dog owners to take care of the dogs you love and make sure your neighborhood is safe.
