Town Talk for Aug. 2

Vail, CO, Colorado
This pike was taken from the Rifle Creek Reservoir on July 28 by Charlie Morrow, 12, of Edwards, and his friend Jacob Dilling, 12, of Vail. These kids were in a small paddle boat when this monster hit both their hooks at the same time. It took them 30 minutes to land him. The fish was 40 inches long and weighed 20 pounds. Great catch, boys!

Taking video has never been easier. Most of us walk around with a video camera right on our phone, taking short clips of friends, family and pets mugging for the camera. But, what do you do with the videos once you’ve taken them? Go beyond the 30-second clip, and make a Hollywood-worthy movie! Colorado Mountain College in Edwards will present an iMovie class Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Learn how to use iMovie to edit video clips, with frame by frame control. You can add special effects, titles and even music. For more information or to register, call 970-569-2900.
