Town Talk for Aug. 20

Vail CO Colorado
Janis Simon, a seasonal resident of Vail, is hosting friends and fellow board members of the Nyaka AIDS Orphanage School in Uganda. Janis visited the school in June and was greeted by smiling, happy children wearing bright purple uniforms and loving grannies and staff. The founder of the school, Twesigye Jackson Kaguri, wrote the book "The Price of Stones" and he will talk on Aug. 30 at the Avon Library at 6 p.m. Books will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of the Bookworm. The book gives insight into the tragedy of AIDS, life in Africa and challenges of building a school, and it ultimately gives you faith in mankind. Please join Janis in welcoming Jackson and friends to the Vail Valley.
