Thanks for all the photo submissions. We really appreciate them, and we want you to have your photos back! Please pick up your photos at the front office of the Daily within 30 days. Photos not picked up by then will be filed in the infamous File 13, never to be seen again.

Become a volunteer and be close to the action during the inaugural GranFondo Cannondale Vail! Individuals and groups are invited to bring the cultural phenomenon to life – support our riders on course, at the Piazza GranFondo expo and festival area, help stuff goodie bags and more. There’s a job to suit all interests! Each volunteer will receive a custom event T-shirt and refreshments and will be entered to win a Cannondale prize pack! We guarantee you’ll have fun along the way! Questions? Please contact

Let’s bebop back to the ’50s to benefit our local Eagle Valley Humane Society. Our furry friends need us to put on our dancing shoes for an Adult Prom to be held on Aug. 18. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. at Route 6 Cafe in Eagle-Vail. Admission is $35 per person (includes one drink and appetizers), and tickets will be sold at the door. All proceeds will be used to assist in placing pets in forever homes and in providing veterinary care.

While Elvis will not be in the building, the Fabulous Femmes will be leading the way through a rock ‘n’ roll night. We hope to see you all there in your ’50s prom attire. Please contact Char Quinn at 970-280-5738 or Donna Griffin at 970-390-1447 with any questions.
