University of San Diego student Carder Lamb, of Vail, is studying in Rome this fall. Lamb is majoring in economics and plans to graduate in spring 2013. The political capital of Italy is filled with unforgettable architecture, art, culture, and fashion and serves as a hub of international business and diplomacy. The academic program in Rome is offered in conjunction with CEA Global Education. Students take courses at the CEA Global Center as well as at John Cabot University that are designed with components that expose students to the language, culture, business, politics, and history of Rome. Students are engaged in academic visits to galleries and museums, the city council chambers, local businesses, food markets, artisan’s workshops, as well as firsthand encounters with artists and architects, local business people, writers, curators and Italian students.
Sera Schools will be hosting its sixth annual winter recital Saturday at 2 p.m. at Vail Mountain School. This-serves as one of the showcase events for students and faculty of the program. More than 100 students participate in Sera Schools after-school programs, an innovative public and private school music program serving a diverse group of ages and talents.-Check out http://www.seraschools.com for more information about our music programs.
