The Vail Valley Medical Center Volunteer Corps Annual Holiday Bake Sale was a giant success. We raised more than $1,100 dollars of pure profit for the hospital. Bake-sale enthusiasts provided loads of delectable goods, from beautiful cakes to cinnamon rolls to cookies to brownies to jams and mustards and candies. Customers came from all over the Vail Valley to buy, buy, buy. We sold out early. It was fun and festive and really got everyone in the holiday spirit. Thanks to all who participated.

Mountain Valley Horse Rescue is having a holiday brunch as a fundraiser for the horses on Dec. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brunch will be held at the Cordillera Cafe at 0360 Carterville Road. Besides champagne and brunch, we’ll be selling calendars and baked goods. It will be lots of fun for a great cause.
