Town Talk for Eagle County

OK, somaybe some garbage blows out of trash cans. But that can’t account for all of the fast food cups, straws, plastic bags and other unidentifiable goo on the ground at the Freedom Park playground.
Come on, people, let’s be a little bit more conscientious about our neighbors who are at the playground to enjoy the slides and swings ” not to constantly swat chewed-up pieces of gum out of their toddlers’ hands.
On a totally unrelated note, what’s with that hard plastic that everything’s packaged in these days? You know, that almost impenetrable armor that everything from spoons to computer mice to fertilizer comes in these days.
We here at Town Talk Towers would like to write our congressman asking him to help ban this type of packaging, but we stabbed ourselves in our writing hand trying to saw our new fountain pen out of its bulletproof package. We tried to use the computer, but we stabbed a hole through our new keyboard, destroying the letters W through O, trying to cut it from its indestructible shell.

Are we seeing more bears because there are more bears on the valley floor, or because we’re all spending more time at home? It could be a bit of both.
