Thanks for all the photo submissions. We really appreciate them, and we want you to have your photos back! Please pick up your photos at the front office of the Daily within 30 days. Photos not picked up by then will be filed in the infamous File 13, never to be seen again.

Help commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the only federal holiday observed as a national day of service, and address the state reading gap by supporting the AmeriCorps Colorado Literacy Matters Book Drive.

Please bring gently used or new books for children in grades kindergarten through 12 to the following drop-off locations: City Market in Avon, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., today through Monday; City Market in Vail, 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., today through Monday; The Bookworm in Edwards, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday; Vail Public Library, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday; and Eagle River Youth Coalition, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Spanish-language books and books targeted to middle-school and high-school teens are strongly encouraged. Donations from the book drive will support youth served by organizations throughout the state including Boys and Girls Clubs.
