Town Talk for Jan. 29

Ella Swift-Heminger, a second-grade art student at Edwards Elementary, created this final geometric artwork. These second-grade sculptures were inspired by artist David Smith. Students learned the difference between geometric and organic before creating these artworks. Students criteria for success included utilizing diagonals, negative spaceand solid forms. Students used their best craftsmanship and safety practices while using hot-glue guns. And finally, students chose one color of paint to work with to created a presentation-ready work of art.
