A memorial for Gael Arens will be held on Thursday at the Brush Creek Pavillion in Eagle Ranch from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Come celebrate Gael’s life and bring along some stories and memories to share with everyone.

We would like to say thank you to Scott Leonard and the community, specifically Vail Valley Cares, Venture Sports and the Youth Conservation Corps. We truly did have the best week of our lives at Crooked Creek Ranch in Winter Park, all because of you. Thanks for supporting us!

A benefit concert featuring Mystic Roots Band amps up the mood from 4 to 9 p.m. today at Beau Jo’s Buffalo Valley Inn in Glenwood Springs. Admission is $15, and all proceeds will go to the R. Scott Reiter Memorial Fund. Scott Reiter was a third-year raft guide who dreamed of being a teacher before he lost his life in a tragic rafting accident. His family and friends plan on raising as much money as they can to send another bright, young student to college to be the teacher that “Scotty” won’t have the chance to be.
