Sonnenalp’s 14th Scramble Against Cancer was a huge success on July 9 – thank you, Mother Nature, for perfect weather! A big thank-you to the Sonnenalp employees and volunteers who donated their time for the cause!

Betty Ford Alpine Gardens presents Teas, Tonics, Smoothies and Dirt Cups on Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. to noon. Create your own special tea blend to take home to enjoy, sample tonic and smoothie recipes and make an edible “dirt cup” of chocolate and fresh flowers! Preregister by calling 970-390-6696.
The Cordillera Fine Art Show will be today from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Cordillera Post Office Lot and Cafe located at 360 Carterville Road, in Edwards.
Join us Sunday in East Vail for a poolside barbecue with live music by Bikini Spiders featuring Johnny Schleper from MTHDS.
The East Vail Racquet Club pool will be open to all and the Alpine Tavern will be providing food, hospitality and drinks, with barbecue and drink specials starting at 3 p.m.
Music starts at 4 p.m. and Bikini Spiders come on at 5 p.m. See you there!
Roll another one … just like the other one … because Hippieman is back for a reprise engagement at the Back Bowl. If you’ve been craving some hilarity to beat the heat or just because you love to laugh out loud, Comedy Night at the Bowlmor returns tonight. If you’re lucky, Hippieman will bring the Jimi Hendrix lunch box he got in the fourth grade, along with his mom’s homemade brownies.
