No slippers, no shirt, no aftershave this year, for this is our first Father’s Day without you here. We held your hand and kissed your forehead every day, as slowly you slipped away. The day came when angels came for you, leaving all of us alone, lonely and blue. So today, we will buy a plant, some flowers, a rose or maybe a cross, as we all gather to mourn our loss. Nothing seems the same, for in our hearts you remain. So, happy Father’s Day from your daughters and their husbands and your sons and their wives. You left us all so broken hearted for the rest of our lives. Sadly missed by all your family. Love you, Dad.
