Richard and Ligia Kohnke wish to announce the marriage of their daughter Margaret to John-Michael Collins, son of JJ and Jonine Collins. Margaret and John lived in the valley for several years and met while working together in Avon. They currently reside in Denver. Give them a big congratulations when you see them.

The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival begins its first week with Beethoven! His early piano trios will be performed on Monday and Tuesday at the Vail Mountain School, and on Wednesday, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs Beethoven’s Triple Concerto with soloists at the amphitheater. • Kaitlin Virginia Abplanalp, of Vail, received the juris doctor degree May 7 from Washington and Lee University School of Law. Abplanalp was among 129 students receiving their juris doctor degree during commencement ceremonies held on the university’s historic front lawn in Lexington, Va. Abplanalp also received her bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee.

The Washington and Lee School of Law is one of the smallest of the nation’s top law schools, providing students with an experience that is not only challenging and stimulating but also personal and collegial.

• Miami University awarded 3,967 degrees to students during spring commencement exercises May 7 at Yager Stadium.

Miami University is a public university located in southwestern Ohio offering more than 100 degree programs in humanities, science, engineering, business, education and fine arts.

Students with more than one listing have earned additional degrees or honors.

Felicia Nicolle Bergman, of Frisco, received a Master of Science degree.

Caroline Elizabeth Gallegos, of Edwards, received a Bachelor of Arts degree.
