Congratulations to the 2011 Eagle County Schools school bus safety poster contest winners! Students created posters matching the theme of “I See the Driver — The Driver Sees Me” to win cash or movie tickets. Thank you to Red Hill Elementary, Eagle Valley Elementary, June Creek Elementary, Meadow Mountain Elementary and Gypsum Creek Middle School students for submitting posters. The overall grand prize winner was Camille Blose of Gypsum Creek Middle School, who won a $200 savings bond. Winners of the kindergarten to second grade division were Sahari Palma, first; Zoey Barela, second; and Jessica Rittenhouse, third, all from Red Hill Elementary. Winners of the third- to fifth-grade division were Savanna Vasquez, first; Bryan Caballero, second; and Isaiah Vasquez, third, all from Red Hill. Sixth- to eighth-grade winners were Charise Crabb, first; Camille Blose, second; and Cheryl Kine, third, all from Gypsum Creek Middle School.
