Town Talk for March 12

Vail, CO Colorado
Well, What Would Todd Do? He would fill out a bracket for the NCAA College Basketball Tournament. The last night spent with Todd Walker was full of laughter, competition, and fun as our family filled out our NCAA tournament brackets. In memory of Todd, that tradition continues! Last year we were able to raise $25,000 for the Make A Wish Foundation in honor of Todd. That meant we were able to make wishes come true for five deserving kids. We are going to continue these efforts through an annual NCAA memorial basketball tournament. Email us at wwtdncaa@gmail.com for more details on how to participate.

On Friday and Saturday, the Homestake Peak School Adventure Club is teaming up with the Gourmet Cowboy in Minturn to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and raise money for Adventure Club. The HPS Adventure Club’s goal is to get kids into the woods and help them learn to love being outside, which has brought so many of us to the valley. The funds will mainly go toward supplies (snowshoes, Nordic skis, backpacks, boots) and funding our year-end hut trips. Dinner is a choice of Irish fare: corned beef and cabbage or fish ‘n’ chips for $17.50, kids meal for $5. Non-alcoholic drinks are included, and the bar will be open. Dinner will be served from 5 to 9 p.m. both nights.
