The Eagle County Historical Society will host a snowshoe history tour along West Brush Creek on Friday. Join us on a moderate, two-mile snowshoe trek at Sylvan Lake State Park for a little bit of exercise and history. Learn about the pioneers who first settled Brush Creek. Meet at 10 a.m. at the Sylvan Lake State Park Visitor Information Center parking lot. Pack a lunch for a post-tour picnic at Sylvan Lake. Optional snowshoe trek around the lake after lunch. Coleby Lower Henzlik, of Edwards, has earned honor roll distinction for the fall 2011 semester at University of Kansas. The honor roll comprises undergraduates who meet requirements in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Congratulations, Coleby!
