Join us on Saturday for a spaghetti benefit dinner and dance for longtime local Johnny Medina in the Red Cliff Auditorium. Dinner tickets are $8 per person, and kids younger than 5 eat free. Dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Dance tickets are $10 per person or $18 per couple. The dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight. Music is being provided by Suave (the Penas). Let’s take this night to support Johnny Medina, who is in need of a liver transplant. While far in distance, let’s show him he is close to our hearts through the long-standing tradition only a Red Cliff dance can offer. Let us celebrate our support together on Saturday; see you there!

Tred Barta, Eagle County’s favorite outdoor TV show host, is doing more taping in the area for “The Best and Worst of Tred Barta.” Barta and Larry Ferguson, of Leadville, will host a small get-together today at the Silver Dollar Saloon in Leadville at about 7 p.m. after a day of work on the TV show. Barta also will do some taping this weekend at Eagle River Anglers in Eagle to celebrate the annual Mother’s Day hatch, which is running a little late this year because the stupid snow won’t stop coming down.
