Town Talk for May 19

Team Keepin' Em Real would like to thank everyone who made our Ultimate Girls Night Out for Breast Cancer such a success. We raised $10,000 toward our $35,000 goal for 2010 and had a great time doing it. We could not have done it without all of you who participated. A special thanks to all of our donors, as well: Heidi's Brooklyn Deli, Mac's Liquor, Sweetwater Liquor, Avon Liquor, Eagle Ranch Liquor, Broadway Liquor, TelTech, Rootz Salon, Vail Valley Getaway, Pink Monkey Solutions and Aspen Vail Ice.

In past years, The Youth Foundation has worked with a few schools in the district to recycle paper, pens, folders, etc., toward the end of the year. This year, The Youth Foundation would like to have all schools in the district collect gently used or unused school supplies that the kids usually would throw away at the end of the school year. The Youth Foundation will pick up whatever supplies are collected from the schools, sort through the piles and then redistribute items to needy families before the start of the 2010-11 school year. If you are interested in helping out, please contact Michael Santambrogio at If you need a box or two to collect any supplies that students plan to throw away, please let Michael know. Supplies will be collected from schools during the last week of school, June 1 through 4. Thanks in advance for helping out!
