Jackson Brown: Jan. 6, 1998, to Oct. 6, 2011. Jackson has left us physically, but will remain in our hearts forever. He was a great dog with a big heart, all 2 pounds, 9 ounces of him. He was an incredible friend, brother and a companion who never gave up on us and blessed our lives with constant devotion. Jackson, we will miss you and love you forever. Rich, Tsu, Eric, Harrison and Gracie.

Keith Brown visits The Bookworm tonight at 6 p.m. He is a longtime resident of the Vail Valley and was a founder and original partner of Vail Associates, where he served as a director for many years. He’ll talk about his experience as one of the founders of Vail as well as his book “A Conversation with Ambassador Keith L. Brown.” The Bookworm will donate 10 percent of sales during the event to Habitat for Humanity, and Brown also will donate proceeds of the sales of his book to Habitat for Humanity. This event is free and open to the public. An assortment of complimentary wine, artisan cheeses and charcuterie will be sponsored by Brown.
