Town Talk Tidbits: Cool stuff, sweet deals
Check out the end-of-season sale at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens Schoolhouse Gift Shop/Museum. The seasonal shop, which benefits the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, will close Sept. 14.
Don’t miss the last Sunday Brunch at the Wolcott Yacht Club in Wolcott from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. There will be food and drink specials all weekend! This week’s artist is not to be missed. Bryan Lee is an award-winning blues singer. A bona fide, New Orleans blues-guitar hero and longtime staple on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter, Lee is a natural-born house rocker with a whole lot of soul that he brings to the bandstand night after night. Along with Kenny Wayne Sheppard and Hubert Sumlin, Bryan performed “Tina Marie” on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the song has since become one of the top radio hits in the country. Blind since age 8, Lee is a unique presence in the blues touring circuit.
