To say that the 18th Annual Wild West Day was an enormous success would be a total and complete understatement. Hundreds of Eagle County community members graced 4-Eagle Ranch with their presence on Saturday, where the largest fund raiser of the year for Eagle County Schools’ nine elementary schools took place. Teachers and principals trying to post bail at the local faux county jail, face-painting, rock climbing, horseback riding and pie-eating contests were just a few highlights of the day. Charcoaled meats, grilled corn on the cob, fresh tamales and a plethora of baked goodies kept tummies happy while visitors grazed the pastures in Wolcott.
